just returned from michigan.
at thanksgiving dinner we held hands with noah's family and sang the doxology, and noah's 92-year-old grandma wept. [praise god from whom all blessing flow/ praise him all creatures here below/ praise him above ye heavenly hosts/ praise father son and holy ghost/ aaaammmen.]
it made my heart hurt, with gratitude.
later on thanksgiving evening we drove three hours to gladwin, to stay in the house where noah was raised and where his mother and sister still live. I made Evidence flashcards and talked to linda, and noah drank beers outside in the snow with mackenzie and built a magnificent snow-bot.
the next day we took sleds from the garage and went down "the big hill." i drank way too much coffee, and helped linda make her pot-roast lunch.
oh. this one, short life.
