city living.

i did feel nice today... i wore a bright green dress and walked to lulu's bakery on hanover street and bought a red velvet cupcake.

earlier, noah and i also walked to haymarket and bought all of the following for under ten dollars: 1 green pepper, 3 limes, 4 lemons, parsley, mint, 4 tomatos, 1 countainer strawberries, 1 container blackberries, 1 pound snap peas, 2 apples, a small bag of curry spice. i have never been to a farmer's market before! it was fantastic! even the heat fueled the energy. dollars and quarters constantly being exchanged bewtween buyers and venders, the bright colors of the fruit and vegtables in long rows down the street under canvas tents, the man with no shirt teasing the pretty girl in white into buying more than two oranges.

although i stumbled into a small shop on the side bearing the big sign: "Order your fresh killed goat! Whole or half!" I looked to the right to see a cooler with several goats heads--complete with eyes--, cow tongues (black with small bristles), a bag of many turkey gizards, cow feet. they seemed to specialize in all things disgusting. the wall of goat eyes are haunting me, trapped in plastic bags.

but other than that, a lovely day.
