I care way, way too much what people think. When I try my best and offer my kindest self and still am not valued, it absolutely befuddles me. and hurts my heart.
I always seem to forget that at the end of the day, we are alone. no matter who you love, no matter how much.

Today it is already in the 80s and not yet 8:00 A.M.
I have been going with my girlfriends to power yoga in cambridge, where we do yoga in a sauna. We sweat buckets and breathe deep. It has been an excellent reprieve from bar exam studying, which seems like a mountain I may never finish climbing.
This past weekend I went to my Maine house and brought along some law school friends. We played games all day and took walks around the Point, ate lobster at Shaw's Wharf and sat around the fireplace at night.
I am lucky to have such good people around me. Really, really lucky.

esquire?
i know, i know. i have gone so long! so long no klog! (that is my classic excuse joke.)
well. i have graduated law school. it is hard to believe this journey is over... the journey that this blog chronicled, of deciding to go to law school, and then the 3 years of figuring out how it is all done. on a sunny day in may i walked with my peers and grabbed my diploma, partied with some of my best friends, and celebrated all that is natural that is infinite that is yes. (sloppy ee cummings reference.)
then the dust settled.
now we all study for the bar exam, which we take at the end of july. which unfortunately makes me extremely boring. i can write at length about easements from property law, or hearsay from the rules of evidence. More so, I can point to all the areas of things I do NOT know sufficiently.... mortgages, what? equitable servitudes? [what even is that?]
but really: who cares?

i think this summer will be the constant struggle to live a successful life while taking all appropriate measures to pass the bar exam. the last and inevitable hurdle, the one that must be met, before i am a lawyer. then i need to figure out how i can actively contribute to the world. (and pay off my student loans, obviously.)
so, into the great universe and also to my friends and family and the God i know in my heart: thank you, thank you, thank you.
i will try harder.
